Top 5 Places to Go with Your Dog in Brisbane

For all the dog lovers in Brisbane, Laura Godwin brings you a list of five must-visits!

Do you love spending the weekends out and about with your pup? Then Brisbane is the place to be! There are countless dog parks and so many cute cafes that are dog friendly. With more and more businesses around Brisbane welcoming your four legged friend why would you ever leave them at home? Here are my top 5 picks:

1. New Farm Dog Park: A huge fenced dog park right on the Brisbane River next to the popular Brisbane Powerhouse. So grab a coffee from Watt Bar and relax while your pup plays in the sunshine.

2. Sassafras Canteen: The much loved Paddington cafe is a favourite amongst all dog owners. Not only do they serve all day breakfast, your pooch is more than welcome to join you while you dine in the rear courtyard.

3. Canine Comfort: Located in Gumdale, this cafe will have your dog’s tail wagging non stop. They provide your dog a pen to play in next to your table and they are even given their own menu with the most popular item being a puppychino (a big bowl of frothy milk)! Canine Comfort also host doggie birthday parties.

4. Yatala Drive-in Cinemas: If you are looking for the perfect spot to snuggle up under the stars with your pooch then this is the place for you! 5. Kedron Brook Floodway Dog Park: This one is for the water dogs! Located 15 minutes from Brisbane City is a huge unfenced tract of land where your dog can rome carefree and dive into the creek for a dip.
