Rocky’s K9 Rescue is a non-profit animal rescue managed by Merna Karam in Canley Vale with the assistance of devoted volunteers. She believes in second chances and most of all she doesn’t discriminate on breed, size, cat or dog. She has been doing this when she was 18 years old. Merna rehomes all kinds of animals and she specializes in large dogs.
One of the dogs that she rescued was Jedda (right) who was featured in the advertising campaign for NSW State Forest and he got a brother from Renbury Farm Animal Shelter (left).
Message from Kathy Holtrust:
Merna and my mum busted him from Renbury Farm Animal Shelter and he came to the farm to live with me. He was such a poor scared little puppy but now I showed him how to play with toys, sticks and balls, to not be scared of people and horses and we share everything and love to run around the farm and be happy and make everybody smile. They all say we are great entertainment so that is our job on the holiday farm stay. We want to say thank you to everybody supporting Rocky’s K9 and especially to Merna Karam and her foster carers and volunteers who save so many lives like ours.
