Local doggy park & why its great?
Peet Park, there are always heaps of other dogs there and all are so friendly. Its huge so when i’m minding dogs that need plenty of exercise or love to chase a ball, Peet Park is perfect!
Your first childhood dog’s name & breed
Rosebud, she was a Blue Heeler
What 1 life lesson could humans learn from dogs?
Always see the bright side of life. Dogs are such happy creatures by nature, they don’t sweat the small stuff and they find joy in everyday.
“It’s a dog’s life” because…
Eating, sleeping, exercise, who wouldn’t want to be a dog!?
Best thing about minding?
Being such a dog lover I still get to have dogs in my life while i’m unable to have my own. I travel regularly so it would be a challenge having a dog full time yet I miss having one around the house so minding works well.
If you could be a celebrity’s dog for a day who would it be?
Oprah Winfrey. She loves her dogs immensely, treats them exceptionally well and they have plenty of space to run around and have fun.
What did a dog last do to make you smile?
I have a statue of Buddha in my back garden, the dog I was minding was very unsure of the statue and kept barking at him. Eventually his owner picked him up and put him on Buddha’s lap, I wish I had a cameral, it was hysterical!
Tell us a short doggy tale?
I had a Labrador, Dally, he was a Federal Drug Dog who was retired at age five as he had chronic arthritis. He was the most beautiful dog. Being a Lab though he was a little bit of a greedy guts and as he got older he had to have a steroid regime to help his ailments. At this time I had put him on a diet as he was a bit too big (according to the vet) and what I didn’t realise is that steroids stimulate appetite. The poor boy was hungry and had started to think outside the square.
