Local doggy park & why its great?
We have three in walking distance but our favourite would be Ashgrove. There are lovely people and dogs that go there, always willing to welcome new friends.
Your first childhood dog’s name & breed
I had two that were sisters. Pammy & Looloo, Border Collies which I adored.
What 1 life lesson could humans learn from dogs?
Never hold grudges and unconditional love.
“It’s a dog’s life” because…
They get to live a life of luxury and never have to leave home, no matter how old!
Best thing about minding?
I love being able to give people peace of mind when they can’t take their baby with them, because I know what its like to be in their shoes. The bonus is that my choccy labs also get to make new friends all the time.
Favourite breed & why?
I have owned all sorts of breed and while I love all dogs, Labradors would be my favourite. I’ve never met a breed as loving, loyal and eager to please. I always say they are the world’s biggest lap dog!
What did a dog last do to make you smile?
My dogs have personality plus so i’m always laughing and smiling!
Tell us a short doggy tale?
After I sadly lost my last dog after 14 years I began searching for our next family member, deciding on my first Labrador as the breed. Being still heart broken I wanted to make sure my pup would be in the best of health and come from a wonderful breeder.
My husband and I searched the whole of Australia when we came across Ruth from Boskyromb breeding. Ruth was a 2 hour flight and 2 hour drive away from us. It was at this time we decided to make the trek down to meet Ruth and her gorgeous dogs. Ruth was amazing, not only did she specialise in breeding family pets with the best of health, she was the most lovely caring person. Not not too much later Mocha had begun her new life with us in Brisbane. That was 3 years ago and I couldn’t be happier. I still stay in touch with Ruth to this day and have just received our second bundle of joy, Jaffa, which is a story for another day!
