What is Onsen?
Onsen is the Japanese term for a hot spring. It contains a specific amount of natural chemical components and has to have a temperature above 25 degrees to be defined as an “Onsen”. In Japan it is usually a place with a hotel and baths with the natural spring water surrounded by nature. The baths are used for relaxing and a healing the body, inside and out.
