Well we’re certainly not going to tell you how to live your life but we have put together five cool dog exercise toys that will be fun for your pooch and keep him fit too!
Exercise Ball
These big round things are not just for your Yoga practice or stomach curls, they are also for your dog too. We know an exercise ball is great for your core strength but it can also be great for your pooch’s too. In addition to this, you dog will gain improvement in balance, reaction and control. Believe it or not some dogs will even embrace a canine version of Soccer!
Treadmill
Some of you will bulk at this one and its certainly not everyone’s cup of tea but for those living in apartments or in climates where weather can be prohibitive to getting your dog outside this can be a viable option. If its something you are willing to consider then introduce your dog slowly to the machine by walking on the treadmill from the back and teaching him to step down on the front if it. Its a games of repetition and you will need patience.
Agility Course
This option is comprised of several pieces of equipment used together which creates an exercise regime that will challenge you just as much as the dog. This option requires a considerable amount of space but will sure be plenty of fun.
Consider using items such as an old tyre, a teeter board and a tunnel and woo your pooch with treats.
Jump Bar
An adjustable jump bar is awesome for endurance and building your dogs confidence. Raising or lowering the bar based on how confident your dog and his ability to jump!
As the pet-parent you can reward your pooch after each successful jump with a treat or even just a big bug.
‘Chuck-it’ Glow Ball & Thrower
Heavier then a typical tennis ball allowing it to be thrown further this cool little ball also makes a whistling noise. Ideal for a dog that loves to fetch you can be sure your dog will have a blast with this game. Its also a nice option for owner and canine to bond as the two of you can spend time doing something enjoyable together.
